First off we have not seen any test DATA on the M2, second there is something going on with that predisposed bump in the low end with the LMII/LMIII and it's definitely not flat, and third I would want to see some more testing done by other folks before I believed any claims.

Bass Gear Magazine performed their own tests, as far as I can tell, and the curves looked just about the same as the data from Markbass. What is this low end bump you speak of? The plots look entirely flat inside the audio spectrum.

Also there is more than one way to look at the signal and proclaim it is flat. YMMV

Please enlighten me. If you make the assumption that your amplifier is more or less linear, the amplitude vs frequency plot pretty much tells you what you need to know.

Like I said I would want to see some other folks perform test before I believed it.

No offense to Tom at all but are they running an ISO 9,000 laboratory over there?

I would like to see some other folks test simple as that.

My ears hear a bit of a bump in the low end regardless of cabs. Though this is hardly a scientific statement.

As per my comment. I would like to see what it looks like with a Bass running through as opposed to just a test signal. Perhaps that is where the bump is coming from.

My thinking is before this kind of claim should be made I'd like to see some verification by another group independent of either.

I never believe what MarkBass publishes because they are subject to change that at the drop of hat. So out with the bathwater that goes. To me now you have Toms Test. Anyone else care to have one tested?
