Markbass Mb58r Pure cmd new combos

Hello everyone,

Has somebody tested one of the new pure combos of Markbass?

I would like to know if its price is justified in comparison with the current MB mini IV cmd 121 model which is around €800.

Atm I only see the weight as their main selling point and looking at the specs of the 3 Pure combos there doesn't seem to be much difference between them and the mini IV 121 or for example the recent released Fender Rumble 800.

Also the pure models, the mini IV and the FR 800 are all 300 watt stand alone so I'm not seeing difference between volume either.

Pls share your experiences.

Thank you!

Welcome to the forum, mate!

I don't have exact experience with that combo, but I've been using MarkBass cabs for a long time now, and recently bought one of the new 210s (Energy though, not Pure). Honestly, sound-wise, it is identical to the previous MB stuff. It's just a hell of a lot lighter.

The one curious thing will be to see about the longevity of these cabs. I've got some older 112s (a NY and a Traveler), and both have held up like absolute champions under some heavy usage. But that I'll only be able to tell with a few years on the clock. But, in terms of sound/volume/performance, it is precisely what I've come to expect from MB
