Markbass Micromark - set my expectations

Nope, thats comparing a 500w amp to a 1100w amp..But it wasnt the wattage I was trying to make a point out of, but the LM`s ability to cut through a make me hear myself really good at a lower volume than I´m used to with my Eden. I agree that the Microbass seem to be a little overpriced, but I haven`t played it , so maby it`s bigger sounding than the specs says.

+1 to that, although I didn't try the Markbass on a rehearsal, I could see how that could work as there is greater clarity.

On the volume/wattage debate, I found this on a website and I couldn't say it better myself:
"Bear in mind though, that there are often other factors that make a difference. Playing in a band with an amplifier that is slighty underpowered for the rest of the band is nearly like playing without an amplifier at all. So playing with an amplifier that may be only 3dB louder (double the power) may be just enough to be heard properly, and make all the difference."

Well, Micromark IS a practice amp. Next smallest Markbass combo is mini CMD121P with 1 12'' speaker. It is a true portable-small-venue-amp, but due to its power it's almost NOT a practice amp. It's just too loud. Of course You can always turn the volume down almost to zero, but then the micromark will sound much better. To me the choice is clear...
