Markbass TTE 500 Randy Johnson amp question

Hi

Hoping someone with the above amp could help me answer a question.

I just purchased the amp(cabinet is in great shape). I plugged it in to heat it up(waiting on a speakon to 1/4" cable, coming today to test it with my bass)...but I notice that there are 4 small lights near each of the 4 tubes.

3 of the 4 lights are yellow..but D1(all the way to the right, if you are facing the front of the amp) is red.

All 4 tubes light up fine...but I am wondering why D1 would be red?

Thanks for any help with this question!

Yeah, checking the tubes seems like a good first step. You could also swap the tube positions (assuming they're the same tube type, which Im guessing they're all 12AX7s), and see if the red follows the tube or stays in the same position.

sort of like my old EA.........I've always liked hybrid amps...both for guitar and bass. Also, as stereo hifi amps.

I've been considering buying the current Markbass Little Mark Vintage (with tube preamp) at some point. Haven't heard it live, only on YouTube videos, but is sounds nice and warm yet also modern, depending on how you set it up. And the idea of some kind of magic happening inside the tube(s) is quite intriguing.

Hey dog, was going to tell you to read the manual, but I restrained and checked it myself first. That is a really weak manual. Not a mention of the lights on the tubes. Not a mention of most anything. I tried to find something, but it looks like it's a secret what the lights do. I'm sure someone on here has some experience and will be able to help. But honestly, I really wanted to say "Hey dog" in a Randy Jackson thread. Heh.
