i have a amp that i play at church and it's a marlboro soundworks. sometimes when i play the amp makes a weird sound and nothing won't play out of it at all. i was wondering do i need to change the fuse in it. where do i buy one and where do i go to get one ?

that doesn't sound like a fuse problem at all. if it needed a new fuse, it wouldn't power up. (the light wouldn't come on)

sounds more like a poorly connected input jack or a dirty potentiometer to me.

My first amp was a Marlboro, bought new ca. 1979/80. It was a decent amp for me in my HS jazz band. It wouldn't surprise me if your amp has 30-odd years of accumulated gunk built up in it.

whats a potientometer

a potentiometer is a 'pot' which is one of your volume or tone controls, but my guess is that you have an intermittent input jack.

My SWR 8004 T/O/P took a dump (and can't find anyone to fix it in Wilmington De.) and needed a amp to use. I checked around to see what I can use momentary until the big SWR amp is fixed. I spot my old Marlboro 1200R amp that hasn't been plugged in since the late 90's and took it to rehearsal. I plugged the Marlboro head into the SWR Triad cab that's in our space, the sound of scratchy pots and popping sounds filled the air for 15 minutes, the giant has emerged from it's slumber. The sound got better when plugged it into the organ input since the sound was muddy though the bass input, this thing breathes though the Triad cab. I've been using the Marlboro/SWR combination for the last couple months and all I can say is:

For a little 60 watt SS amp that everyone is calling "trash", this thing sounds killer.
