My half-rounds are dying, and I'm being a cheap bastard and I don't want to put new strings on my fretless with ebonol fingerboard.
I often successfully use the MarloweDK method to prolong the life of my roundwounds on a fretted bass. Here it is for those who are unfamiliar:
Question: if this was your bass, with half-rounds on an ebonol fretless, would you try this method for freshening your strings, taking the chance that you might damage the ebonol fingerboard, or would you go for it?
