I've been on there all week making designs. Amazing tool. Best I've seen. I can't believe Kiesel doesn't have a tool like this. I'm planning to buy my first fully custom bass and I'm thinking of Maruszczyk now.

Problem is I want a Jazzus model.

They only started the custom shop configurator in April. Adrian (the man behind the Maruszczyk basses) said that more models will be added over time. They worked one year on it until releasing the configurator, so it seems to be a fair amount of work.

As far as the Maruszczyk basses are concerned: go for it. Absolutely fantastic build quality for incredibly fair prices. My second custom instrument in in the making at the moment.

If you want a custom Jazzus, just go ahead and shoot Adrian an email, he will get back to you mostly within a days time, but be aware that they are super busy at the moment with expanding their workshop site:

I consider getting something like this next year. Still haven't decided on the inlays. Blocks, dots, no inlays? No idea. The transparent black finish and pearl pg are staying for sure!

I seriously hate you lot. Just spent half an hour customizing a Jake, and now I am doing the math to see if / when I can afford it...

I told my misses I want one more bass, a kick-ass fretless bass. Possibly a six, likely a five. I was prepared to throw loads of money at it, but frankly these Maruszczyk basses are surprisingly affordable, given the heavy customization you can do! Guess Warwick won't be getting my money ...

I picked 5 string(100euro), mono rail bridge(20euro), 18 MM spacing, Daphne Blue(20euro), Maple PG, Flat Wound Strings (10euro). The rest was stock. $1569.73 total cost.

It bugs the hell out of me that I can't change the P pickup direction.

I did a blind purchase with a custom jazz bass build. Only read reviews and saw their fantastic instrument presentations, but that's it.

Blind purchase on a bass for around 2.400 €....a bit risky, but extremely worth it!

Man, i seriously recommend you try a Maruszczyk. All things considered there are very few custom basses with such a degree of quality and fine craft for the money. My 5 cents only but i'd be very surprised to read a disappointed dude owning a Maruszczyk in this or any other forum.
