Realized we didn't have a thread going yet for Mask Audio Electronics.

Alec is an amazing builder, artist of the pcb, helpful guy, chill dude, and absolute wizard of fuzz!

I'll get a shot of the current collection of his work to add a little later today.

Whatcha all got, and what are your fav MAE pedals?

Already have another one on the way, a cool new red print on black Black Math.

When his upcoming new phaser gets released, don't snooze on it. The prototype was amazing.

I have a MAE DIY distortion peda.l ran out of space on my board but I'm keeping it. It's great! I think it's a titan super bass distortion pedal.

Nice idea! I am a huge fan if Alec (the king of fuzz) and his pedals.

I'll have to round up the gang for a family photo but I've got:

The Maths:
- Black Math standard in peppermint
- Black Math "Blue English" version- super compressed sounding version
- Green Drab "tall font russian" version w vintage Russian transistors
- Civil Math "civil war" version
- Violet Math "violet rams head" version

I've also got a pink Maybe, a Ge Part Garden and an Ears Come To Die (or whatever his end of the world fuzz entry was). Toss in a Dropping Acid #rip to round things out (and I'm sure more than a few others he had a hand in).

Once I dust off my soldering iron again, I have a Laran that I want to put together with my son and another 6 or 7 boards from MAE as well as a Dirge Electronics built HM2 tonestack (w added mids).

At one point, I had a Fever Dream...but I'd rather not talk about that one as my mamma said if I don't have nice things to say...

Great little boxes of noise.

I'm still tossing that around in my head. I wish Neck Brace had more of a small stone noisy squealy thing going on, but I still think that it sounds great. It does it's own thing!

sidenote/rant: I wish there was a phaser that only does the squealy peaky small stone thing for the noise heads

Which do you think works better for bass - the stock or the Ge Part Garden?

Really depends on what you are going for, but I lean slightly towards the Ge for bass set for lower gain warmer overdrive.

If you want more of a fuzz and sizzle thing, the OG might be a better fit.

Yep! Still love the Neck Brace.

Even got a second one of a newer version that had a "Ring Mod" modification for faster speed, but doesn't go as slow.

He is working on a new Flanger now too. Can't wait for that one.

Just stumbled upon this thread. Have a Black Math on a board and it is the only non-Russian style muff I have ever kept on a board. Just put a bid in on a Part Garden. gh0st42 how do you dig the Part Garden on bass?
