Matching Bass?

Have any of you ever owned a bass and wanted to then get a partner for it? I have been playing my Spector ReBop 4mm for a few months now and I am dying to get the five string version. Even so I am thinking of tossing up my fender bassman pro head as a trade (once I upgrade to gold of course). Has anyone done this and regretted it (once they get GAS for something else)? My wife thinks I am a little crazy for the idea, but I do miss playing a 5'er.

the looks don't have to "match' for me, but the feel is important. getting a 5'er makes me think you want 'the look' to be the same.

Yea, I enjoy the look, tone, and feel of it. I enjoy having the mm tone at a much lighter weight and body comfort. There are none around me to try out.
I only posted this because I have a fiesta red precision as well and have always wanted to get a fiesta red jazz bass too.
