Matt Freeman Squier Sig!!!!!

First off I know there's a current thread mentioning this but screw all of that ,this deserves its own thread.

I can't believe squier/fender had the guts to do this ,I've always loved Rancid and Operation ivy ,big fan of matt freeman and his bass playing, I was always aware he played fenders and thought his white p was one of the best looking precisions. This guy deserves it too,he should be getting fender like hoppus, but o well, I'm sure these are gonna be on par with a mim standard.

Lol well for a punk fan like me,this is as exciting as the time pete wentz got his signature like 5 years ago. I think its great and will be a top seller even if people have never heard of Rancid or Op ivy, just like the geddy lee was supposed to be a limited run, but the popularity of the bass and not geddy, has made it one of fenders best selling models.

I'm sure it'll be along the line of 300 usd

Holding back wentz bashing, but i hope you know pete is as far from punk as possible.

I owned Petes sig as I got one for 100$.

I like Matt Freeman, but another black/maple P bass doesn't do much for me. Hopefully, the US price will be modest for the folks who are into this.

Don't know who Matt Freeman is, but this looks a lot like the Roger Waters sig. IMO, a black/maple P-Bass with a black pickguard is not a Signature bass: it's an industry standard.

The dude is excited that one of his heroes got a sig...which is great...why do so many people feel the need to 'school' everyone as often as possible?

Ha well if uve ever heard take this to your grave, u can't say there's some pop punk in there, sure not as hard as rancid's punk/roots feel, but I thought fob's first album was great, their other stuff not so great, but hey at least he got a sig out of it.

O and no s### I know this model isn't anything new, basically a cv p bass with a maple neck ......but.......this is more amazing to me because rancid is so far off the radar more so than blink 182 or fall out boy, I think its great that squier would deliver what fans would want .

My band has toured with Rancid a few times...super cool dudes...I always thought they were pretty mainstream...big hits, all over MTV at one time...still play to 1,500 to 3,000 folks a night, every night they care to play...and their hearts seem to be in the right place, rock-wise :)

Pete Wentz wouldn't know punk if even if Sid Vicious hit him across the face with his P bass.
Note:
Pete and Sid are probably two of the worst bass players of all time.
