I've loved The Brothers Gibb since 1969, maybe earlier. They have it all.

I PROBABLY had a bit of SNF burnout, but not much. I love that movie, saw it 3 times in the theater when it came out. I still watch it every time it's on TCM for the uncut no commercials version.

That entire album reminds me of a super happy time in my life that turned enormously sad for a bit.

Maurice played his 4001 so nicely, iconic (IMO) bass lines on a bunch of songs.

It breaks my heart Barry buried every brother. So sad.

That is true, Nights on Broadway is fantastic.

I mentioned not being a fan of Stayin Alive, the song, but there was good stuff on that LP too. More Than a Woman and How Deep is Your Love are still on my car playlist.

“How Deep Is Your Love” is a remarkably beautiful song to me. Perfection.

I used to make fun of the Bee Gees in my musical ignorance. Now I see how incredible they were.

Great bassist and generaly musician. I had to prepare two of their sings for my club resident band, and my guitar player could never play "in the pocket" unison with bass guitar for Staying Alive. Turns out, those unison bass and guitar lines were both played by Maurice, and that's why they sound soo good. He was multi instrumentalist with great feel.
Sadly, in 70's he became heahy drinker and could not play bass live any more. Brothers gave him rhytm guitar, with instructions for sound guy to just turn him down if he is too drunk to play. Big talent that could have done much more....
