Maxon D&S users (1970s)

A lot of us seem to like Muff-based fuzzes for bass, so I was wondering if any of you have tried the old Maxon D&S? I picked one up in trade with the intention of using it for my Telecaster, but I prefer my Rams Head home brew circuit for 6 string. The D&S is terrific on bass, though.

It's nearly a direct clone of a Muff but uses a variation on the Muff tone stack which I'm finding I really like. More mids are retained and highs aren't completely dumped when you roll the tone back.

Anyone else dig these units?

(It looks like mine is one of the early ones, as it has the typo in the "Sustain" labeling... actually says "Sustain.t" )
