There the video of him playing in a pub in England and he’s using a MESA SCOUT combo.. James Cordon show when they visit Macca’s childhood home.
Probably bought from change in his Rolls' cupholder.

I bet they're stage props. I bet he really plays through a pair of bespoke Fractals, straight to FOH.
I saw him recently, it seems his bass was thru the Mesa cabs, Vox was for his guitar, other guy who played bass used the Ashdowns (and both guitarists had Marshalls). I doubt they were props.
some older stuff right there. Powerhouse 215 and Powerhouse 1000. Whew. That’s a lot of volume. Played an Ampeg SVTCL through a Powerhouse 1000 at full tilt. No surprise, it was devastatingly loud.
I never watched Cordon, but I did because of Macca. I cried when he was talking about his Mom. Great sequence all around.
Towards the end when he’s performing in the pub.
I know the feeling. Played a flatwound strung Ibanez ATK through a mesa 400 and power house (4x10 and a 15). Glorious..
That Carpool with James Corden where they're walking around his old neighborhoods was stunning in that Paul has been THAT famous for all these many years, I wonder how long it took to reconcile himself to never be able to move about like anyone else without drawing a crowd or having a security detail. It must be mind-numbing, especially after Lennon's murder.
The Powerhouse was such an unorthodox cab that sounded humongous. I loved mine but hated hauling it.
Sir Paul has used the same rig for a while. I believe he used rackmount Strategy heads to power the cabs. Match made in heaven.

Love my strategy (and 800D for a lighter option!), but using subway 410s - bet it's even more intense through powerhouse cabs
Reminds me of my old Powerhouse 610 cab that I had used with an M6 Carbine head. Such an amazing rig, and mind blowingly loud.

Almost 20 years ago, I was working at a large record store in LA, and we had a stage area set up for instore promotional performances, primarily with new/up and coming bands, but also the occasional legacy act. As he had a new album out at the time, he asked to play there, management thought about it for a nanosecond, then it was announced the night before. Gear was moved in overnight, at 4pm we shut down to the public, and I got to hear soundcheck(he was wearing the Von Dutch shirt at that moment). The bass rig was a mixture of Mesa and Ashdown, and yes, he and Brian Ray would switch off guitar and bass.
The soundcheck was interesting, as they did go through “Matchbox”, and then, when the crowd came in, I did see Ringo(with Barbara), and was hoping he’d get pulled up to the stage to do the song, but it did not happen.
As much as the actual performance was a treat, I was a bit distracted. I had a once in a lifetime experience, standing next to, and chatting with, Twiggy. Just another day at work…

Paul has had this same rig since around 2013 when the Strategy came out: Strategy rack head, PH215, PH1200 cabs.
His old rig before that was also Mesa: Bass 400, 215, 1516 cabs.
