Double Bass Me vs. Electronics

Made a DIY PUP out of Ratshack parts today. It sounds freakishly good considering $7.50 worth of parts. I used the bigger model piezo buzzer, wafered it with cardboard and electrical tape, attached it to a 1/4" jack and plugged it in. Dang thing actually worked. I'm using putty to attach the piezo to the body Dyn B style. Huge thump, good sustain. Need to gig test it but I like it. It has a little mid-range howl easily eq'd out. If I had a way to post sound clips I would. Just thought I'd let you guys know.

Some might cringe at the use of putty on the finish. I'm a sound before style guy anyway.

Making version 2.0 tonight. I'm insulating with copper foil, and using cork board to help with stability. Coating the whole mess in plastic dip. Wish me luck!
