This one I like -Do they do a bass version?
All his stuff is custom so I imagine he would. He makes great T-bird pups as well though I don't know on split Ps.

On the subject of odd retroish pickups, I quite like Dave Reimer's take on single coil Ps:

Just for reference relative to the original, I measured the output/resistance on the pickups and it was a bit surprising. Neck pup is hotter than expected at 11k and the bridge pup markedly lower at 7.4. Looks like they are wired in series as they are summed for over 18k in the middle position. This is without the preamp on the bridge pup (I don't have a battery in it currently).
That a big difference between the two - if you have the bridge pu dimed is it anemic, or is the neck pu just much louder?
I was quite surprised at the difference and would not have guessed. I think the bridge pu on its own sounds quite good and full. That's very near the same measurement as the bridge pu on my '66 Jazz Bass. The neck pu is louder though I just figured that was mainly due to the position - but it's not THAT much louder.
Humma Humma Humma! That's turning into a really nice bass.
Here's another interesting dressing up of a split P pickup:

Yes, that's very cool - especially offset like that. It might get a bit horsy with 2 though, but maybe not. I'm going to bid on some mahogany tomorrow so I can start the process. A single slab of Honduran 2" thick. Then I'll seek a 1 piece slab 1/4" thick, either of more mahogany or possibly maple. I'll do a pretty thorough bit of chambering in both.
That's some nice Mosriteish retro work from Argentina. Here's a detail shot:

I like the gold filled engraving on the pickguard, too.
Pretty nice take on retro styling. What does the hs look like? When the 'retro' pop culture concept started in the '80s - many of the first guitar/bass attempts were cartoonish to my eyes. Exaggerated '50's. I have done what I've done so far in that genre by using/thinking of 'retro' as a visual novelty. Novel in its 'different' style, its details, its materials - and bringing enough 'harkening of a past era' interest due to my age and background. Being nostalgic is one thing, investigating cultural history is how I think of it. Gabe gets it. Harvester gets it. Retro as an art form unto itself translated through the unique designer/makers experiences.
Agree with all. Andrew at Harvester is a real master with both the craftman's skills and an artist's eye. Taste is something you can't buy...
Gabe is really creative and has a great way of 're-visioning' familiar designs (not too different from you!)

Here you can see he built a wood surround around the pickup and that the metal cover is fabricated from a flat piece:

Also that bass was all built with very old reclaimed woods.
Some of his others, again, impressed with the metal work:

I really dig how he reshaped the Jag/Jazzmaster bridge plate to echo the forward slant of the offset body:

My Supernova started out with a similar elbow bout peak (that one looks better) but I ended up reworking it as it was in an uncomfortable location while playing. It was the last time I completed a bass before toughly R&D-ing it. Lesson learned the hard way.

Also moved away from a rear-mounted Strat-jack for similar reasons - keep rubbing against my right leg.

Also added a longer lower horn to keep it from slipping off my leg seated - all stuff I failed to work out before finishing.
