Medium scale bass recommendations

I am an amatuer bass player for two years. I have taught myself utilizing the Hal Leonard Bass Method three series books and cd's.

I have been playing a MIA Jazz American Standard, and Road Worn '57 pbass.

I recently purchased an Epiphone Viola Beatle style bass. The bass is medium scale. I don't have large hands and this bass fits my hands very well.

The Jazz has a thin neck that feels great. The pbass has a nut width of 1.75". Harder for me to play. Both are long scale and I love the sound. I will never part with either instrument.

However, I would like to know if there are any players that can recommend a medium scale bass that will get me to my comfort zone and can get close to the sound of my jazz and pbass.

Thanks in advance for any helpful advice.

What's your price range?
I have one of these and with a fret level it is absolutely stellar: Link Removed
Being happy with SX, I just purchased one of these from Ebay. Judgement is still out:

On a slightly higher quality level, Warwick is supposed to be releasing this in the near future:

Finally, Fender just released this:

Wait for a good 32" scale MIJ Fender or Squier P or J to come up on eBay. They are usually cheaper than 34".

This is true!

Also, if you search "Fender Japan" on eBay (Bass) you'll find a few medium scale Fenders. There's one called a Fender AJB-M I've been pondering. It's an Aerodyne with two Jazz pups and 32" scale. It's expensive though. Expensive to ship too.

The navy blue Aerodyne on ebay has had my eye for months. I wish it would just go away. On another note regarding ebay, I personally prefer to buy new. You may find an 80's medium scale MIJ in good shape but many have been around the block. Just my 2 cents.

I have a Yamaha Jazz bass the RBX4A2M. This bass comes in long scale 34" neck (i.e. RBX4A2) and medium scale 32" neck (i.e. RBX4A2M).

They are not easy to find anymore. If you want to have an idea how it looks and sound, you can watch the Bass Whisperer review a long scale one on Youtube.
