OK, I'll join in:

Met Flea and Anthony when we opened up for them in the 80's, about a year before their first hit.

Picked up Keith Emerson at the airport and took him to his hotel. Then took Cozy Powell from the hotel to the venue (1986 ELP tour). Met Greg Lake after the show.

Had Fish (from Marillion) and band over to my house for dinner. (1998) Also been to his house in Scotland.

Had all of Porcupine Tree over to my house for dinner (2005). Met Tony Levin band (which included Larry Fast and Jerry Marrotta) after a Porcupine Tree show (2006?)

Had breakfast with Dave Madden (aka Rueben Kincaid) then went to his house (2005?)

Met Alex Lifeson after a Porcupine Tree show (2007?)

Met Nick Beggs after a Steven Wilsin show (2011?)

David Ellefson of Megadeth a few years back- great everyday kinda guy.

I've had the pleasure to meet the following at work:

Tony Levin
Chris Wood
Larry Grenadier
Norah Jones
Meshell Nndegeocello
One of the Dixie Chicks
Dave Holland
Warren Haynes
Matt Abts
Alan Rubin (trumpet for Blues Bros)
Gail Ann Dorsey
"Larry" from Perfect Strangers
Uma Thurman

To be fair, I think all of them more or less live or have houses or record locally, so it's not that strange. Also, most of them are only "famous" by musician standards. The only ones I personally had been star struck with were Dave Holland and Tony Levin, who are both very friendly and humble dudes.

I've had some run ins with pro wrestlers and metal musicians.

Snuck backstage at Iron Maiden and weirded out his daughter.
Received a phone call from the wrestler "Pretty Boy" Larry Sharp in high school.
Sat next to and help set up a merch booth with God Fobid's singer before I knew who he was.
Got on stage with Cannibal Corpse and head banged with George "Corpse Grinder" Fischer
Outside this,

Mick Foley "at a book signing"
Booker T
Mastodon
The Black Dahlia Murder
Sid of Slipknot
Got an e-mail from Joe Bob Briggs of TNTs Monstervision and was invited to hang out when he's in town.
Got an e-mail from Paul Bearer
was a stagehand for Negative 263 at 1 show

Mick Foley - one of my favorite wrestlers of all time!
I'm in Bill Kelliher's (Mastodon) home town of Victor, but have never seen him.

My girlfriend (now wife) and I met Courtney Love after an insane show in 1994. What you see is definitely what you get, but I give her credit for staying late to meet fans after getting into a literal fistfight with one of them earlier.

Lou Gramm lives in town. Here he is with my son this summer in the airport. Thoroughly decent guy, all around.

Doug Flutie was nice enough to pose with us a few years back. My daughter was 11 at the time. Look at the slight height difference! He had boots with heels also.

I think it was around 1980 that me and my cousin walked into a music store for strings. Right when we walk in all we could hear was this horrible noise coming from the second floor. After a few minutes it stops and we heard a huge round of applause (I thought they were happy it was over). People flood downstairs and we walk over to the counter. There stands this tall, thin guy that kinda looks like an old rooster with a diamond in his ear that could choke a goat and a Sherlock Holmes pipe. He looks at me and wants to known if I want a autograph and I said no, just strings. I thought he was going to punch me in the forehead until another guy took over and set me up with some Ernie Balls. I just didn't know who Ginger Baker was but I could see why Jack Bruce (RIP) didn't get along with him.

This cracked me up...

Several years ago, I was a guitar/bass/backline tech at an really weird show in a small town in Tennessee, Stuart Hamm was the bass player and Ginger was on drums. From the moment he arrived, he was obviously not very happy to be there (apparently the show was a "Buddy Favor" from the guitar player who I won't name... He was a total asshat.). He sat down at the rented (but, brand new out of the box) kit for sound check, started cussing and then kicked the whole kit over and stomped off and went back to his hotel. Later during the gig, the guitar player, apparently pissed about gig (it was pretty lame) ended the show early by kicking his rented, but also new pedal board off of the stage... Big fun. Oh yeah, I ended up not getting paid, not that anybody else involved did either.

Stu on the other hand was one of the coolest, most laid back guys I have ever met. Hanging with him made the whole thing worthwhile.

Back in the 1970s, the guitar player in my band and I were at a bar where our friends band were opening for Albert King. We were there quite early, and long before the show started Albert came in and took a seat between us at the bar. We had a nice talk, and I bought him a drink, (whisky, I think).
Had a brief talk with Johnny Winter on the phone once. Albert was friendlier.
