That whole subgenre should just be called pop being played by goofs playing dress up. Just because you have spikey haire and a wrist bands doesn't mean you are a punk. Songs about your girlfriend dumping you and appearing in movies with the Olson's(Simple Plan) are not punk rock things to do. I wish these types of bands would just admit they are what they are. There's going to be a whole generation of kids that think Gotti hair, wrist bands, eyeliner and whinning are punk rock.
