Megadeth Bass Tones!

First off, any bass with two split Ps is decent. J-Lo's warwicks are set up in a similar configuration to that of BC Rich basses, so, even bc rich basses would do fine. If you want a tone similiar to Elefson, you could use a bc rich (like I mentioned above) or any bass with a split p/single coil combo (I say this because in the angry again music video, Elefson is using a Jackson T-bird set up in the same fashion).

Next is the tone settings.

For the clangy tone you hear in "Peace Sells...but who's buying?"

Bass- 1:00
Mid- Max
Treb- 10:00

For the smoother/bassier tone in "sweating bullets"

Bass-2:00/3:00 (or somewhere in between)
Mid- OFF/Scoop/kill
Treb- 12:00/1:00 (or somewhere in between)

James Lomenzo uses the following effects:

-Punch Factory
-Bass Factory (?)
-Bass Chorus
-Bass Distortion (he actually has 2 of these, one is an unknown prototype model)
-Bass Wah
-Bass EQ

^I got that from looking at his live rig on his official web page.
