On a rec, I got to work for the MTV VMAS one year. At the after party I saw George Lucas walking around by himself at 11:30pm. This is a massive warehouse that could accommodate 2,000 people but had only about a hundred. I walked up to him and said, "Cheers George!" and he toasted me back. I spoke to him for about 5 minutes until my buddy came over. At the time Star Wars hadn't yet come out on even DVD in any form, so we asked him about that and when it was coming out. Then we all told jokes. Nice guy. Best part was I had a Chevy S10 with a long bed truck, and I got to take home all the extra stuff from The Green Room that nobody ate or drank. My truck bed was filled to the rim and that stuff lasted me 5 months, candy, drinks, and more.
