Mesa 1x15 problem

just picked up a little mesa 1x15 cab. and cant get a decent clean sound out of it.. sounds like its on a slight over drive/ quite fuzzy constant hiss.. running it through a bb750.. tried a few things not too sure what to do now.. any tips would be great thanks

Try a different cab. This eliminates everything else which might be the source of the distortion.

Assuming it is the cab at fault, is it new or used? There are semi invasive checks to be done which you wouldn't do with a new one.
