Mesa 4x10 - Can you identify it?

Recently bought this well-used, older mesa boogie 4x10 powerhouse in roadready cab. It sounds great but, is it the real thing? Can anybody tell me anything about this model? Its 600 watts, 8 ohms.

I've got a Mesa 4-10 in RoadReady trim from early 90's. Sounds great but seems to have been designed to function as a nuclear bomb shelter for rodents, having given me the impression they lead lined the thing. The hernia cab reputation is strong enough for Mesa that they make a point of how they have worked on their new stuff to have the tone without the hernia.

I run the regular tolexed, non-roadready Mesa Diesel cabs from the same era, a 210 and 115. They are not light, but easier to manage in 2 boxes. I personally dig the EV speakers in them, but they are known for being a heavy beast. I also find that with many solid state heads, those speakers have such a distinctive voice (depending on EQ'ing) it's rather easy to get a Flea BSSM tone from them, that was the speakers he was using on that album.

hahaha - thanks for your words of knowledge, is kinda heavy - but has those castors help and a bit of leverage gets it in and out of the wagon. Yes I know I should buy a Markbass system but I'm going through my "you cant deny the laws of physics" stage and sometimes you need real coneage - I'm running it with an EV 15" Cab, and also an Ampeg 2x10 when I want to feel the love, driven by a Fender Pro 800, so she's getting up to 1200 watts

That 410 will barely break a sweat before those other cabs shred themselves.

I recommend a RoadReady 115. :smug:
