Hey Everyone! I've got a Bass 400+ and I'm having a hell of a time trying to find my sound! Does anyone have suggestions? I'm playing Heavy Rock and Metal! Just need some preamp sounds that work !!

Well, since we are not you and do not know "your sound" just twist knobs and push sliders till you find it. Then again, maybe this is not the right amp for "your sound"!
+1 to starting out with the eq "out".
the preamp already has a pretty scooped sort of voicing, so the natural tendency of heavy players to scoop the graphic eq can make your sound into a muddy, hollow mess. they say that "flat" on that amp is mid-10, bass-2 and treble-2, with the eq disengaged. personally, i find broadband eq controls to be a lot more useful for dialing in bass sounds anyway.
