tell me about the mesa boogie 400...NOT the mesa boogie 400+(plus)

Sounds a lot like the 400+, but has 6 output tubes instead of 12, runs about 150 watts with 6L6's, closer to 200 with...uhh, 6550's? I don't know; I was happy with 6L6's. Great amp; I was lucky enough to own a 400 and a 400+, though at different times. I think the 400 wasn't as clean sounding as the 400+, but I started using a Sansamp about the time I got my 400, and that definitely added grit.

its a lot like a 400+ but minus one band of EQ (if memory serves me right)
