Mesa M-2000 issue

Hey guys. I was practicing with my M-2000, I think it's the third practice I've ever used it for, and tonight would be the first time I've ever played it live... but it randomly kept cutting out. Not noisy, and no other sound or visual notice (the compressor lights and power still lit up), but it'd just drop volume all the way an then come back. I switched basses and cables. I can't seem to find an explanation. Any ideas?

First thing to do with those amps is make sure the backs of the pots are tight they have inexpensive pots in them and any pressure on them from the front can cause them to get loose and cause this problem. If they are loose just push them back in place and rebend the tabs that hold them together.
