Double Bass Mesa M-Pulse 600 with an upright?

Wondering if any one is using a Mesa Boogie M-pulse 600 with an upright and how it sounds.

I'm thinking it might be good for a doubling rig. I like the sound of my Demeter H preamp feeding the power amp section of a EA iAmp800, but if I could get that sound with a single piece of equipment that's lighter, it would really make my day! The EA 800 alone sounds fine with the upright, with my 5-string electric I feel like there's something lacking in the low end and there's a certain 'sparkle' in the mids that's missing when compared to the Demeter.

Speaker used is a single SWR 10" (in a home built cab), sometimes two cabs. Also have a Wizzy 10" coming that will replace the SWR 10".

I can't tell for a bass guitar but generally M-pulse Mesa amps sounds great with uprights. I have used the 600 and now I'm down to a Walkabout head on Mesa Powerhouse cabs, because size is an important issue for me. I have to say that I made a lot of trials with 12AX7 tubes for the preamp section. The original russian made tubes are ok but the sound gets thrilling with some vintage tubes like Mullard or Tung Sol.
