Seriously-I love the M9.When I was amp shopping,my wish list was-

2 rack space
not too heavy
powerful
versatile
able to do 2ohm operation

Funny thing is I wasnt as crazy about it when I demoed it in the store.I posted this some time ago here-I just wasnt getting it I guess. But fell in love when I was able to get it on a gig,and learned my way around the EQ and Voice settings. It sounds huge but, still punchy-slam factor.

You aren't the only one. This is why I often advise folks that the EQ is deceptively powerful for it's limited number of controls. You really have to learn it to "get it". Fortunately for me, the amp works exactly the way I want for most gigs "flat", so I only have to tweak to compensate for the odd place that's different than my norm, but that's just me, my prefs, my band, etc., so not necessarily the case for all.

Me too, Vic. I basically keep mine flat and it sounds great that way with minor adjustments as needed.

What is your preferred method for carrying the M9? I have see what look like skb cases..I think I will be getting a three space rack or bag depending..a bit concerned about a bag restricting airflow.Does it fit in a shallow rack case? Any opinions on the x racks for gigs where I haul my own gear in?

Thanks

Mark

2 space skb rack. works great, well made, plenty of vent room, and room for cords.

My lead git has his:
Power conditioner
BBE Sonic Maximizer
Boss GT Pro
Mesa 2:90
Singer has:
Marshall JMP-1
Mesa 2:90
and my lil M9 just sits there in the middle all pretty with the purple lights n stuff! :D

I always watch them during load in and go "MAN that looks heavy!"

Good for you!Im not sure I trust any one enough to lug my stuff around. We are playing in Chicago tomorrow-I was supposed to take some stuff to the truck.I decided to carry it with me.Lucky Southwest doesnt charge baggage fees.

Yeah we just go around town w/ our gear- and I figure those guys will be nice to their high-end gear so my amp is safe with them.

"with all the purple lights and stuff"

Man, that purple jewel totally bothered me.
My Walkabout has a red one, all my old Fenders had red ones...

So, a nice gent here in "wanted" swapped me his red for my purple.

All is well now.

4 space SKB Rack..pleny of breathing room for the M9 and some room for my cables .
Most important..breathing room since I do many outdoor summer shows...

Haha I love that thing! My M9 is pretty bright onstage-
the purple jewel power indicator
the red LED for the compressor
and the one for the EQ being active

:D
