Mesa Powerhouse 1x15 or 2x12?

Hi I currently have a Mesa M-Pulse Venture 600 head and cabinet combo (the 2x12 one).

I was thinking of getting an additional cabinet to fill out the sound a bit more (although it sounds pretty good as it is).

I was leaning towards a Powerhouse 1x15 to get even more low end, but I've had a few peeps and sale people tell me the 15 would be a waste and to get the Powerhouse 2x12.

Suggestions? Anyone have a similar setup? Thanks for any tips.

Thanks for the suggestions. Yes, the Powerhouse 2x12 is basically the same cab I already have, minus the extra space on top for mounting the head.

I agree. Never much liked the form factor of the 1x15 either. I think I'll go with the 2x12. Thanks!

I have a Carbine M6 212 combo, and I add a PH115 to it for huge sound when needed.
I love the config and sound I get; plus the combo sits perfectly on the 115. However, if I had the opportunity to trade up to a PH212 and get rid of the PH115, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
If budget and weight are not a factor, I'd jump on the PH212.

WAIT! Make sure your Venture combo doesn't already have a 4 ohm rating as you will not be able to add another cab if it does. The Mpulse600 amp is not rated to be run a 2 ohms at all. I owned this exact same combo and it was putting the whole 600 watts into the 212 built in cabinet which was clearly rated at 4 ohms.

But if your combo is 8 ohms, you could not go wring with another 8 ohm PH212. I also own a PH412 and its unbelievable in every way.
