Tell me, in your experience do you hear of feel a sonic difference between using a 2X15 cab or two times 1x15, also same question about ceramic magnet vs neodium magnet?
I don’t know if it is just in my head but I really felt a difference between my Berg cab and my Powerhouse and Orange cabs. The ceramic speakers just seemed to have more girth and heft behind them (I never thought I’d use the word heft but here I am).
My drummer also pointed it out to me. He said that the Berg sounded great but it didn’t vibrate his drum stool like my ceramic speakers did.

yes it Can. I mean a bigger box can say produce more lows than the same driver in a smaller box
No to either. Generally a x brand 1x15 will have the same internal space than is brand x 2x15 brother. So essentially sound the same. Ceramic vs neo shouldnt matter, if the magnets comprables in strength. I have cabs with both and like my ceramic one slightly better, but its heavy and has 8 speakers

Yes, certainly can and have (earlier Bass 400's IIRC), but it sounds quite different.
Regarding Neo's and "lack of low end", that's just a perception driven by old wives tales along with voicing choices made by some manufacturers. All of the big touring subs these days are Neo based, no problem with (very) low end.
This is my actual setup, these cabs are not at the level of the Subway but can produce a good level of SPL, I plan to eventually replace by two 1x15. This kit fit in any car. (25 lbs, 250 watts each)

If I had to choose between three 810s, one was 300lbs, another was 200lbs, and the third was 100 lbs...
...I’d pick whichever cab sounded best.

My Peavey VB2 amp has EL34's.
With home volume, I can't tell the difference between it and the Ampeg. I have yet to crank up my Ampeg though.
Need the family out of the house for a day. Man...that would be nice. Oh, yeah, I'd be able to crank up my amp too.
I have a Hiwatt DR201 runnin six EL34s and a Reeves 400 running 6 KT88s. From what I have read the Reeves EQ is tailored a bit for bass from the original Hiwatt spec. The two amps sound remarkably similar, although the tone controls are scaled slightly different.
For fun I swapped a quad of JJ KT88s for a Quad of Wing-C 6550s in my Aguilar DB359. I couldn't hear any significant difference. I recently replaced a quad of JJ KT88s in another amp with Ruby KT88V-STR. The Ruby's are a bit darker and more sterile sounding when biased at the same current level. I backed off on the quiescent current a bit and Ruby's opened up a bit.
So far I have had heard more difference between tube brands than tube types. Probably varies by circuit design, same as preamp tubes.
I am all for neo drivers. I had a GK 4X12. and it rocked. Only drawback is the top shelf is sized for GK heads, my Mesa heads hung off the back.
How many hours should I expect to get from the tubes? I run it full power 90% of the time with the gain usually in the 11 o' clock to 2 o'clock zone
I think many guys would tell you "years", which is probably true. But I think transportation has a lot to due with tube life, in my humble opinion.
News to me. I've never heard of Mesa using anything but their own branded tubes.
