Mesa subway 800 vs GK mbf800

the fearful are coming! Two 12/6/1 now I need a more powerful bass head for these. I want to leave one cab at my church and one home and carry amp back and forth. That being said class d would be prefered for ease of transport. I have pretty much narrowed it down to these two amps but would consider others. I am planning on trying them out but are there any apparent pros or cons with either one with using these fearful cabs?

I'd get the Mesa first. It's flavor of the month right now so if you don't like it flipping it should be fast and easy.

Other that that, they're both solid amps.

I have fF 12/6/1_12 sub.
I have the MBF800.
That works out exceptionally well.
The Mesa D800 lands here today.
Ask me this again in a few days.

I had a gk mb fusion ff 15/6. Its got very nice tone, round full bottom, and blistering loud. Now i have a the d800 and want a 12/6

I have a 15/6/1. I stack the 12/6/1 on top sometimes, when I need Way Too Much.

I went with the mesa based on the advice that it's easy to flip. I went to guitar centers and sam ash stores no one had either amp. So much for try it before you buy it

At least in Illinois, Guitar Center no longer carries Mesa Boogie. Not sure about Samash......

I have both of those amps. The Subway is a little more mid-voiced, but not overly so. The MBF800 is a little cleaner up top. Both are excellent amps and you owe it to yourself to compare them if you can because they are discernibly different in sound.

Mesa and GC parted ways completely.

That said, my tone palate leans toward the Mesa D800.

Much like the Baer cabs, which I really liked at first, the D800 is growing on me as my ears acclimate to what it does.
Yeah, it doesn't have that crisp, clean, clear, wide open top end of the GK stuff; but, it has plenty.
At first, with the voice rolled to the left, "it felt mid heavy," but now, that feels "rich and punchy" instead, while rolling to the right leans it a little more towards the GK tone, while keeping it's own, richer thing.
Interesting, to compare the two, over time.

Sorry I was trying to get a comparison of the GK MB800 and subway, not the fusion model. Unless they sound the same

The MB series is even sharper and more focused than the MBF, which, is sharper and more focused than the D800;
more or less.
ymmv, etc.
