Mesa Subway Cab Combinations

At one time or another I had two 112's, two 115's and two 210's. My favorite pairing was the 210 over the 115.

For me, two of the single 12's. The best compromise between sound and portability.

If I were younger and gigging steadily, two single 15's.

The singles are always easier to transport, I'd rather have two smaller boxes than one larger one, and from what I glean from @agedhorse's posts, the sound is very similar save for having two tweeters instead of one in a single box with two drivers. The Subways allow for turning the tweets off, so presumably I can turn one off in the paired cabinets and be mighty close to a single cabinet.

Of course, running four of the single 15s would be a hoot . . . .

Although no valid conclusions can be drawn other than we have a tally of what TB members who decided to vote said, I suspect when we compare the results here to what sales numbers at Mesa look like we might be able to get a rough sense of how closely TB remembers' preferences reflect those of the broader population of Mesa customers.

I know the poll says MESA... But.... I used my Genz Benz Focus 115 on so many gigs its ridiculous!!! It just wont die!! But my current favorites are the Mesa 115 indoors and 215 for outdoor or large indoor venues. Still have a GB 410 that sits at church (no IEMs yet, Pastor is an x Tejano singer & likes to feel the stage!!) also still use a couple of 12 cabs and a Berg 410 Holo cab.. Just to be clear....

I do find it odd that as of today we don't have even 1 person who voted 210. While that's not my preferred cab, the reviews I've seen from people who find it works well for them are glowing.

Without knowing any Mesa sales numbers, I do expect that some version of the 15" loaded cabs are going to be at the top or very close. I think all the SW cabs are well designed and executed, but the 15" driver cabs are simply standouts among all other 15" cabs (and most other cabs) I've played. The 212 is also very impressive when compared to similar designs and will likely score high IMO.

The 115/112 combo (my vote) is a bit of a unique voicing and might make it to the top three.

I know it takes a whole lot more for a representative survey. And I'm sure that the 10" speaker cabs are just as amazingly sounding as the 12"s and 15"s.
My "conclusion" was actually just sort of the expression of my amazement that no one had picked the single 10" cabs. So just wondering a little bit about the reasons for that. That's all!

Through great deals and trades over the last few months I managed to get myself a Subway 112, 212, and two 1x15 cabs. While the 212 is great sounding, the two 115s stacked is the best combination out of this bunch. In fact, the Subway 115 is likely the best-sounding speaker cab I've ever had the good fortune to use. Two? Twice as best.

I have a 112 and a 115. I’ve used the 115 on its own, but I generally use the 112 and 115 together even if one cab will work. I really like how they sound together.

Quick question, how do they sound on the Low B? I'm likely getting a single Sub 15 for the 2 x10 I have. Light weight and can load and set up easily.

As someone who loves 4x10s,
I have the Subway 2x10.
I haven’t tried any other subways, but if I were to get another I might explore the 15.
