Mesa Subway, did they make a deal with the Devil?

I agree with you that they did some poor engineering and/or test work on the Carbine series, but at least for me, they made things right at their expense. I'm not sure what it cost them in the end, but they reworked all three of my Carbines and shipped them back at no cost to me...I doubt they made any profit on my sale, but they did buy a ton of customer goodwill. I still own those amps and they are still working just fine.

Then you sir are one of the lucky ones...I was left with a 48 lb. paperweight that failed live on stage opening for a national touring act...and this was AFTER it had been back to the factory once already...and after contacting them the second time they wouldn't even attempt to work on stating that I could just buy a new amp for what the repair would cost...after the tech openly admitted that they put the wrong voltage power transformer in the amp to start with...

I got tired of looking at it and took it to a local repair shop...where the tech stated that Mesa was and I quote " Mesa is not very helpful with schematics" but it did eventually get fixed and was promptly traded away...

count yourself lucky...

I do and am sorry to hear about your experience...that would have been both embarrassing and likely the end of my Mesa days for good. No question that the SW line has unfolded as a different story due to much different design and engineering roots.

The first failure we had was an output jack failure. The biggest problem was a total failure and ended up a screw came loose inside and found some important stuff to arc across and ended up needing a new board. Then another screw came loose but I heard it rattling around when moving it before it killed anything. If I remember correctly, after warranty it was a pot that went out. It's gigged about once a week and I'll probably be buying a WD or TT version because I like the 800 so much

No, this is not normal. The 115 has been shipping regularly since September-ish. I suggest that you check in with your GC sales person to be sure that your order didn’t get lost (or accidentally sold to someone else).

Just called and was told that Mesa is shipping it to my store on the 26th. When I asked if this date was any different than the other 25 dates I've been given he didn't seem to sure. I've been more than patient so Ill give them till the 26th then Ill start asking for supervisors and getting much more firm. Looking forward to getting the cab and telling everyone how great it is and looking forward to being done with GC.
