Double Bass Mesa Walkabout Settings

I've got a Mesa Walkabout Scout and an underwood pickup. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them and knew some good settings to start with that might give me a warmer, softer tone, because the ones I've been using sound rather harsh.

Any insights are appreciated!

Thanks!

Yo Sly,

I've been using my new Walkabout Scout Combo for about a month now.

I start with everything flat, then end up cutting some mids and low mids.

Your underwood pickup (or lack of a preamp) might be the culprit in the harshness you are hearing. This is an extremely warm and powerful amp. If you give it the right input signal, you'll find you have better tone.

Good luck!
