No, this isn't common at all.I have a new wd800 and a couple of times now after playing for about an 30min turn it onto mute let sit 15min come back and no signal to cab all cables are good mute off.signal to amp is good just wondering if anyone else has had similar problems
I just experienced something similar on a gig. FOH was getting signal from the WD800's DI, but nothing was getting sent to the cab. No protect light, everything appears normal. Cycled on/off and then it worked. Seemed to have nothing to do with the speaker cable because I tried different cables.Yes I eliminated all .direct into amp still no output to cab .did same for 2 different cabs both 4ohms.no protect light on and is getting signal.turned amp off waited 5 sec . works again .hosa edge speakon cable neutrik connectors.

If the short cycle lockout protection is activated, does it still send signal from the DI out?Be sure that you are aware that the amp will not produce sound if the amp is turned on, then off then on again within a 20 second period. There is a short cycle lockout protection (covered in the manual).
I don't think so but it's been years since I ran those tests. If the short cycle lockout protection is activated, does it still send signal from the DI out?
I tried both jacks on the amp as well as on the cab. Signal was passing through the circuit as far as the DI since it was gettin to FOH, but it wasn't making it to either of the output jacks.I don't think so but it's been years since I ran those tests.
Try the other jack on the speaker and/or the amp, every once in a while I see a damaged jack (usually due to a knock-off plug coming apart inside the jack and bending the fingers)
I really have no idea what the problem might be. If it's under warranty, give customer service a call and see about it coming back to the factory for service. It it's out of warranty, I can take care of it at my R&D lab. Message me and I will get you the info.I tried both jacks on the amp as well as on the cab. Thanks, I'd like to do some more trouble shooting to make sure it's not something external. Poor connection at the speaker cable seems like the most likely explanation.I really have no idea what the problem might be. Do you get a signal at the effects send? Also, if you were to plug into the effects return does it pass a signal to the speakers?I tried both jacks on the amp as well as on the cab. Yes, signal was passing through the effects send, but not to the speaker.Do you get a signal at the effects send? Also, if you were to plug into the effects return does it pass a signal to the speakers?
There's a Nickelback joke here somewhereI have a new wd800 and a couple of times now after playing for about an 30min turn it onto mute let sit 15min come back and no signal to cab all cables are good mute off.signal to amp is good just wondering if anyone else has had similar problems
Circling back and offering a humble mea culpa -- It was indeed just a cable issue. My unit is fine. Apologies for muddying the waters on this thread!Try cycling a plug into the effects return jack a couple of times and see it the problem goes away.
Good news for sure.Circling back and offering a humble mea culpa -- It was indeed just a cable issue. My unit is fine. Apologies for muddying the waters on this thread!
Thank you for the update *and* for the honesty. This site would be a better place if everyone followed your lead.Circling back and offering a humble mea culpa -- It was indeed just a cable issue. My unit is fine. Apologies for muddying the waters on this thread!
