Meshuggah much?

That's definitely Meshuggah's sound. But not quite their style. Gotta admit, the tones are sexy no matter who plays them though.
+1 The song is terrible. But the sound is ripped straight from Meshuggah. I wouldn't be surprised if they used line 6 to record it with.
There have been countless bands who have ripped Meshuggah in one way or another over the last decade. They kind of set the foundation for what a lot of modern metal has become, but it's all been watered down big time.
+1. This actually sounds closer to Periphery (minus the chill breakdowns and texturing) or Synthetic Breed to me.
And yes those kinds of riffs seem to be sweet no matter where they come from
Meshuggah is great all and but to say no one can touch them is kind of far fetched. I personally dig Tesseract more than Meshuggah. There's no denying they're influence but I think I could name a handful of bands that took what Meshuggah started and built something awesome on top of it.
+1 to Tesseract, I wouldn't consider than better but they are amazing and really do build upon what Meshuggah started.
