I never realized how off his intonation was on this. It's well hidden in the mix. He is a very talented musician.
I love isolated tracks. The players seem much more human!

I started listening to my own isolated tracks recently (mainly to check out my fretless intonation among a few things I do crappy) and it is pretty scary.

Doesn't sound any worse or better than many of the famous isolated tracks I have heard lately, but pulled out of the mix the bass track is so "different" than in the mix. Much easier to criticize than guitar or drums IMO. A lot of the ghost notes and percussive stuff sounds great in a full mix bit just stupid when isolated.
