Metal pickups

I play a 4 string tuned down to drop B ( B F# B E) and i want pickups that give my Ibanez a deep sound. Right now, my bass produces the same sound of alice coopers bass player(Can't remember the name off the top of my head right now). I usually set up my head with a lot of low and mid low with my mid highs about a 6 or 7. Anybody know any pickups that would give me a heavier sound?

IRC I think his name is Kip Winger (or at least he was in that band at one point).

For the pickups, it depends on if your Ibby is active or passive. If it is active then quite a few use some form of EMGs (not the Hz models) but there are numerous other brands to choose from for both active and passive. (SDs, SDGs and I personally like Jworrell's).

Measure your pickup dimensions and post here, then people might make some more specific suggestions. :)

Are there any Ibanez basses with active pickups? Every active Ibanez I knew of featured passive pickups and a preamp. The OP should be able to choose either active or passive pickups as suits his/her whim.

its passive pickups. I'm trying to get a tone like robert trujillo, frank bello sounding. The pickups are set up like the emg pj setup. I'm currently thinking about switching to stainless steel round strings to get a heavier sound too.
