This right here, the rest of the career is all in how it is handled, Death magnetic was a good album , not ride the lightning good , but a good Metallica album, They have been lead down the garden path a few times , but I do believe they are on thier way back , first step was ditching Bob "I was i the Payolas" Rock and getting Rick Rubin. songwriting and playing style matures over the years and , yes dare say , they will probably never recapture the magic of the old days , but , you cannot get stuck in an endloop like that either, but there is plenty of hard hitting relevant music left in them , and once they are shown the path again it will hit

That is what I thought. All of a sudden these "metalheads" cut their hair, started wearing suits, eyeliner, nail polish and the music got softer. In the metal scene that was a BIG deal! That picture of Kirk ^ says it all. Did he want to be in Duran Duran?

Tbh, I'd rather do a Duran Duran cover than a Metallica. At least I could hear my bass line in the mix :atoz:
