Miami Blue P-Bass.....Which Pickguard?

I heartily agree with Remoman, Black Pearl!
I had mine made for my Black P-Bass by tracing the outline and cutouts onto the sheet of Black Pearl acrylic then took it to a local plastics fabricator shop where they routered it out with a 45-degree chamfer all-around, but straight-cut for the cutouts. It only cost $150 and it has lasted me 18 years. Remoman knows of what he speaks! ;o)

What I would most likely put on Miami blue, if I had one: black pickguard.

If it has a maple board, I personally would be all over white pearl.
Should you happen to have access to someone capable of making guards, a white color that's just a bit off towards blue might also be dandy.
Or orange - to go the Ford GT40 route.
I've rigged my Seafoam Green / Maple P bass with a guard that's called pale mint. It looks like it was bright white but someone forgot to take it off when putting the bass in the washing machine and the fresh color from the body has bled in it. Hard to capture on photos, but gorgeous in natura.

I think it's narrowed down to BWB, or black pearloid. Probably the former.....still thinking!

Reminds me of the American Original 60s. Now I've seen that, maybe that beats black!

No. Ugh! cuz Nothing looks classier, than slapping a slice of raw salami on a beautiful P bass!
My first thought was black pearl, but I also think an abalone would look really good, either black or blue:

Its either got to be white (parchment or crushed white pearl) or pink - a nice Miami Vice type look with that color - last choice the grey crushed pearl. Enjoy your new bass and Happy NBD!
