I thought it was white all this time. Regardless, it looks clean the way it is and I think that's why Fender released them like that. I think white and anodized gold would look good as well.I have the same bass--2020 American Pro II P in Miami blue. I decided to load a whole new pickguard with a Pure Vintage 63 and set aside the VMOD loaded pickguard to be able to return it stock if needed, but when I looked at all the choices, I couldn't find one that looked better than the stock color--MINT (not white, for those who don't know). So I just bought a second mint one!
