Is there an amp that can connect to my upright to earbuds so I can listen to myself better during symphony rehearsals and concerts? My hearing's never been so good :-\

Double Bass mic to earphones?

Put on the pickup of your choice on your bass and plug a headphone amplifier into it. Not too difficult to put this sort of unit together, but the application is a new one on me.
Do a google search for headphone amp with microphone input. There are plenty of such amps out there which accept either balanced or unbalanced, XLR or TRS inputs.
