Double Bass Mic with a Markbass cmd combo

Has anyone tried the xlr mic input on the mark bass cmd combos?

interested in whether the mic input works simultaneously while the 1/4" jack amplifies an underwood pickup.

I think the short answer is "Yes."

I have not played through any of the Markbass CMD combos. But I pulled up a manual online where it says "The BALANCED INPUT (2) accepts a balanced XLR input, allowing the head to accomodate for all kinds of acoustic bass pickup systems. You can also use this input to plug in a microphone-even while you play your bass through the 1/4 input."

Not sure I've seen other mic users post in this forum about the Markbass heads.

I keep thinkin' PB+J used the XLR input on a Markbass head for his DYN-B pickup though.

My memory is not what is used to be. And the DYN-B is sort of a pickup / contact mic. Dunno. Perhaps others will chime in.
