Michael Manring - playing BASS

Right on! I think his music would work in the alien context of of Star Wars, or some other kind of computer generated reality.

He is a Nexus 1 designed to play bass and kick your ass! :spit:

"Watching My Life Go By", Micheal Hedges Windham Hill album features two bassists. One of them is Manring, he takes a nice little Jaco Clone solo. He always sounds like a slot car about to derail on the play room floor to me. Lotsa chops of course, but it's really more like listening to an Autoharp player or a sewing machine, than a bass.

I just dug out my copy of "Watching My Life Go By". Hedges was so damn talented. Still very sad to have lost him. In any case I noticed that MM does play all of the bass tracks on the album, some most subdued.....surprised nobody called me an that.

Somebody yelled there is fire in this room......I guess this is the Church of Michael Manring afterall.:D

I think it's safe to say that MM didn't get to where he is today by being a follower.
