He is one of my biggest influences, such a shame.

Damn shame. I'm looking a his signature on a poster on my wall as I write this. Helluva nice guy too, met him on several occasions, never struck me as an addict (I've known plenty).

Apparently people noticed he was looking a bit strung out the past couple shows, too bad no one caught it before it came to this.

Just saw him exactly one week ago. One of my favorite bassists. This sucks.

It seems weird to me that he would have to rob a store to get his fix. Why didn't he just buy it, albeit illegally? If he didn't have enough money, he could've sold a pedal or something.

And cjmodulus, he did have to leave the band for a while in 2006 to go through rehab.

Im a correctional officer and to my knowledge on the matter, (which isn't very extensive, just from looking at rapsheets), he'll be getting some time for this, a few years at least, but him being kind of famous he may get off easier.
