MICHAEL TUTTLE BASS

Fellow Bass Players! I’ve been playing my Tuttle Bass for two months and I finally had the time to put it down and write a review on it. Enough cannot be said about Michael Tuttle Basses. This is truly what a bass should sound, feel and look like. I’ve been playing bass for more than 20 years and have I’ve owned and played many high-end basses in the Yamaha, Ibanez, Fender, and Lakland instrument lines. Obviously, I didn’t know what a great bass was - until I played this Tuttle Bass.

With Michael Tuttle, you will get a custom-made bass built to your specifications. As Michael says, “ If you can dream it – I can build it. Besides being a highly-skilled guitar and bass builder, he also focuses on customer relationship and quality and is very passionate about building an instrument that surpasses customer expectations in every aspect.

The building process took about 3 months but it was definitely well worth the wait – you just can’t get an instrument at this level of quality and craftsmanship from the mass-production processes used today. So if you, like me, don’t want to compromise and don’t want to settle for an instrument made by a manufacturer that cuts corners give Michael Tuttle a call today.

Here's my Tuttle Bass - Photo doesn't do it justice

There's a pretty fantastic looking 5 string Jazz 24 fret by him up on Rocket Music's site. :)

Rocket Music - Tuttle Modern J 5-String (Olympic White) in Tuttle Bass

I had the chance to play this one today at Rocket. Awesome bass! I really liked the string spacing. This may be what I've been missing (19mm spacing) in a 5 string. I love the modern take on the Jazz. 35" scale, which I think contributes to a great feeling and very clear B string. Every tone from vintage to modern. The Demeter pre is very flexable and the Barden's really growl! Just a great combination of specs. Great job Michael.
