Mick Grøndahl - where did he go?

I was watching some live videos of Jeff Buckley and apart from Jeff himself (WHAT A VOICE) I was really drawn to Mick Grøndahl, Jeff's bass player who plays these amazing melodical bass lines on his white '66 Jazz. Does anybody know what happened to him? I'd love to get him on my podcast. Last thing I can find is about him living in Denmark and playing with his band Tongue (on his Wikipedia page), but on the other hand: that same Wiki page links to his MySpace, sooooo yeah.

Great question, Jeff Buckley and co. were one of the best things from that era. IIRC, Mick has posted here on TB a little but I don't recall his username.

He worked on his solo stuff as a singer/songwriter when Myspace was still a thing. Awesome songs by the way! I recall 5-6 tracks that were available at the time. It never really caught on though, unfortunately.

I’m revisiting the Jeff Buckley catalog and remembering how much I was influenced by your playing when I started playing bass in the middle 1990s. So many great lines and such an unusual, almost Jazz accompanist’s style of playing. It was like you channeled Stax and Motown and Geddy Lee and all these styles of bass playing that I loved. Listening to “Vancouver” as I write this. Cheers to you pal.
