Following up on my conclusions;

4. Its more useful to have a bypass switch for just the eq section of an amp.

Than a switch to bypass all the voicings on an amp, since that already can be done by using the effects loop or the aux in. Sorry if I wasn't clear, it was in addition to my earlier post #32

Which is an odd conclusion given the answers you have received and your post #32.

If it’s important to YOU, that’s fine but it’s a giant stretch to conclude that it’s important to most other players IMO.

Why is that an odd conclusion? Sorry if I wasn't clear, but I wasn't at all saying that. I simply meant to say that an amp having an eq bypass switch, as you described, is more commonly useful to a player, than the idea that I started this thread with - a switch to bypass all the voicings. As you clearly pointed out, that can already be done using an effects loop, or by using the aux in.

As far as how important the choice is to other players was only used as a relative term based on my idea, and its limitations, compared to the factual information you provided in response.

Thanks for clarifying. I read the entire thread before asking but still wasn't sure, as it seemed like the playing field might be shifting as things went along. For my part, I don't like superfluous switches, controls, or baked in voicings, but I often have somewhat unpopular opinions on what those might be.
