I know this isn't strictly effects so feel free too move me...

In our band we use a Micro Korg and a Mini Kaoss pad

We have the microkorg running through the kaoss pad and then straight into DI/PA.

When the Microkorg is on its loudest setting its still FAR quieter than the Kaoss pad, the Kaoss pad doesn't have a volume on it though. Is there anyway around this?

Thanks

The Mini KP has a volume control on the bottom right, just under the touch pad.

Depending on what effect you use, you may need to turn the effect level mix down. I use a KP3 and when I use the synth or drums it is hella loud if I don't drop the mix down. Otherwise, that volume control should do you just fine.

i'll give it a go but i'm pretty sure that's the headphones volume...

Oh, I see. Yeah, I just used my KP3 in a DJ setting for the first time (assisting a new DJ friend of mine) and the volume is surprisingly hard to control even on that model. My only suggestion would be to turn down the effect mix.

Also, what are you using the mini-KP for?

Anyone ever tried mounting a mini KP on their bass? I always thought it would be a fun project to integrate one with a cheap Squier. Of course, fun projects mean cash and time I severely lack.

Matt Bellamy (guitarist for Muse) put the full size kaoss pad on one of his guitars. He uses it on Supermassive Black Hole and if you're interested you can check out this video on youtube done by a Muse fan who's done this mod...

we have the micro korg running through it so that we can use it to change the sounds coming from the micro korg. It has some sounds on it that we use on its on just as effects.
