Micro Q-Tron

So, does that mean the trimpot is at the end of the Micro's circuit (at the output)? This would affect the total volume, not just the spikes, right?

I'm not sure, but it sound likely. When I got mine, the volume was very low. I turned it up to a satisfactory level and I don't have any problems with volume spikes. It doesn't seem like it overloads the input stage.

Just talked to John Pisani at EHX and here's what he has to say about the internal trim:

Yes there is an internal trim pot. What it does is set the maximum frequency range of the Micro or Mini Q-Tron's filter. This is set at the factory to what we think sounds best. If you feel that playing normally, the filter sweeps up too high in frequency, too high into the treble, my first recommendation would be to turn down the Gain knob a bit on the Micro Q. The Gain will also determine how high in frequency the Micro's filter sweeps. If it is also peaking too loudly then try turning down the Q a bit. If all else fails then you can try adjust the trim pot to reduce the maximum frequency.

I have one of these and I love it. I could really afford to do some tweaking to the trim pot as well though. I took the back off of my pedal and could not find the trim pot. I have no experience really with pedals and so don't even really know what I'm looking for. Can anybody help me? I just need to cut a little of the volume spike when in low pass.

If you take the back plate off the trim pot is next to the power input just to the left.
