I am in the search for a microphone to place on a H-Clamp for my 3/4 bass and need your assistance. There are so many microphones and so little time, which one would you pick? Or another one. Thank you for any info and advice.

I took a look at both of your choices, and although they might work in some live situations, I'd be concerned about feedback with either of them. Since they are around $299.00-$399.00. I'd take a look at the Troll Ribbon Microphone, or even something as simple as a SM 58.

i'd go with the troll is i was in the market for a mic.

it's made specifically for DB and works quite well. never heard a bad thing about it.

I use a radio shack mic, the tie mic, and an atm450. The 450 is awesome. I do not use it solely. It is backed up with an EAP. I haven't used the troll but would love to try one.

Audix D4 mounts easily on an H-Clamp (small and lightweight) and works well.

If it matters much to you, there are 90º XLR cables out there that would tighten up your setup. (saw your picture with the cable loop sticking right out the back of the mic)
